Avigilon · Asia-Pacific Partner Event, Gala & Awards Dinner
Avigilon, a Motorola Solutions company, brought its Asia-Pacific partner network together for a gala and awards dinner built around a full 1920s Art Deco theme. We took the brief from concept to closing set, scenic dressing, ostrich-feather centrepieces, a live band, a DJ set and a troupe of gold-costumed dance performers, as one production, not a rented room with décor added on top.
The brief
Avigilon's Asia-Pacific partner event needed a gala and awards dinner that felt worth the flight, a room built around a genuine theme rather than a hotel ballroom with a step-and-repeat banner. The client set the theme: a 1920s Art Deco evening, Gatsby in spirit, for a partner audience that expects a polished production, not a conference dinner with entertainment bolted on.
The brief covered the full evening, scenic build, entertainment booking and direction, staging and show-calling, as a single production rather than separate line items handed to separate suppliers.
What we delivered
iMAGINE Events Asia produced the gala end to end, with one bilingual lead owning the scenic design, entertainment casting, technical package and live show-calling.
Full Art Deco scenic dressing, geometric gold linework, starlit drape and period-styled staging that carried the theme from the room's entrance to the stage.
Ostrich-feather centrepieces, tall white-feather table centres and lit cube seating, styled to the period and repeated consistently across every table.
Live band, a full live band performing through the dinner and awards segments, mixed and monitored by our audio crew.
DJ set, a DJ carrying the evening from awards into the after-dinner party, lit and staged as its own moment rather than an afterthought.
Gold-costumed dance performers, a choreographed dance troupe in gold period costume, staged as a full entertainment segment with its own lighting cues.
Branded activation, Avigilon and Motorola Solutions branding carried through to signage and a branded balloon installation for the wider partner event.
The room dressed to the full 1920s Art Deco theme, gold linework, starlit drape and period staging.
The programme
One evening, run as a themed production from doors to last dance.
Doors. Guests entered a fully dressed Art Deco room, feathered centrepieces, gold linework and lit staging set before anyone arrived.
Dinner. Seated dinner with the live band performing, table service run around the entertainment rather than around it.
Awards. The formal awards segment, staged and show-called against the same Art Deco backdrop.
Entertainment. The gold-costumed dance performance, a full choreographed segment cued live from the production desk.
After-dinner. The DJ took the room from formal dinner into an after-dinner party, closing the evening on its own energy.

The outcome
The room read as a themed production, not a themed dinner. Every element: the feathered centrepieces, the gold linework, the live band, the DJ and the dance performance, was cast and built to the same 1920s brief, so the evening held together as one experience rather than a series of separate bookings.
It is the case we point to when a client says they want "a themed gala" and means it: full entertainment casting and scenic design under one production lead, not a room rental with a band added on.
