iMAGINE Events Asia is based in Da Nang, Vietnam. This page explains what happens to your data when you visit this website, in plain language.

Cookie consent

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept cookies. Google Analytics does not run at all unless you accept. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages people read. Once you accept cookies, it sets cookies and records page views, scroll depth, outbound link clicks, approximate location at country level, and browser and device type. It does not record your name, email address, or anything you type into our contact form.

The contact form

Our contact form is handled by Web3Forms, a form-to-email service. What you type into the form, including any file you attach, is transmitted to Web3Forms and forwarded by email to iMAGINE Events Asia. Web3Forms does not use it for anything else.

Video

Films on this site are hosted on Vimeo and autoplay muted as you scroll to them. The Vimeo player loads on its own, without you clicking play, and it does so whether or not you have accepted cookies. That means Vimeo receives your IP address on any page carrying a film. We load every player with Vimeo's do-not-track flag set, which is their documented mode for embeds: it sets no Vimeo cookies and builds no viewing profile of you. If you would rather no film loaded at all, most browsers can block third-party frames per site.

Maps

Our Contact page can show a Google Map, but it does not load one until you press the "Show the map" button. Until you do, the Contact page contacts Google not at all. Once you press it, the map loads and Google sets its own cookies. This is deliberately your decision rather than a consequence of the cookie banner.

Cookies this site sets

Google Analytics cookies (starting with _ga), set only once you accept cookies, used to distinguish visitors and count sessions. Google Maps cookies, set only once the Contact page's map loads. Your own cookie choice is not stored in a cookie at all: it lives in your browser's local storage, under iea_consent, and holds nothing but the words granted or denied and the date. Storing a consent record in a cookie would mean setting a cookie before you had consented to cookies.

Fonts

Our typefaces are served from our own domain, so no font request goes to Google.

What we don't do

We do not sell data, we do not run advertising, and we do not share anything with third parties beyond the three services named above: Google Analytics, Web3Forms, and Vimeo.
